Emma Heaney-Yeatts
MNZAC, EMDRNZ, IMAGONZ
Emma Heaney-Yeatts is a qualified counsellor and an accredited IMAGO Relationship Therapist. She has a BA (hons) and a Bachelor of Counselling, and is EMDR Masterclass level. She is ACC registered. Her therapeutic style is both creative and analytical; a visual learner, she often uses diagrams in her work with clients. She believes in the power of the structure of EMDR and IMAGO, which helps facilitiate a sense of safety and predictability for clients.

Emma has been counselling for nine years and prior to that worked in government policy. Most recently she was the Counselling Director at Little Shadow Inc. (formerly PND Wellington), an NGO providing counselling for new parents. Emma has two school age boys so she knows what it’s like to be a working mum. Emma is particularly passionate about working with women, and couples too. Partners can be a great source of healing. When she’s not working, Emma will be out walking her dog, cooking, or having an adventure with her family. **Please note, I am not currently accepting new clients. Returning clients are welcome to get in touch to discuss an appt.**
